My Testimony

Hello, my name is William David Grubb. My story begins just like a lot of other Christians. I grew up going to Church, accepted Christ at the age of 8, left home and went off to college. But that is where my story begins to change.

After many years in college trying to get an engineering degree, I discovered that I was very unhappy. Without a daily walk with Jesus I became a social drinker and a borderline alcholic. One Sunday morning after a regular night at the bar, I felt the presence of God. And, He commanded me to rise, get dressed, and to go Church. I distinctly remember driving past the clock at the bank which read just a little after 8 am. I thought to myself, Sunday School doesn’t even start till 9:30/10 O’clock… what am I doing? But I was obedient, went in and waited. Since then, God begin to work in all areas of my life. He took away the desire to drink. He got me through the last engineering class and lead me to Art school.

In October of 1998 I started Art school and graduated from engineering school in December; I had passed. Within the first quarter of Art school I joined a prayer group on campus. There were only 4 or 5 of us at the time but after 9 months of praying, God revealed something to us. With His guidence we started a hands-on Ministry, talking to students about their art projects, and simply helping and encouraging others. The club at school grew to a dozen students meeting every other week and God used us to touch many lives.

Having graduated in 2000, I filed incorporation papers to turn the club into a business. With God as a CEO, I kept the business going on the side, helping business any way that I could.

In 2005 I knew my full time job was ending and I sensed the Lord was saying, “now is the time to buy a home.” I thought to myself “that’s crazy”. I am not going to buy home in the middle of nowhere without a job! Well, we found a home and sure enough, before we signed the papers to close on our home, I was unemployed. Since 2005 we have not missed a payment on our mortgage. The business has provided income for as many 5 families at one time. Through it all, God has been ever faithful.

Connie and I have been married since 2001 and we now have two boys William and James. God continues to work through me, teaching me to guard their hearts and making sure they know I love them, and that He loves them.

God gives me the comfort of knowing that He has already provided for all our needs. He gives me the strength to work from home giving of myself to anyone who asks of me Matthew 5:42.
“Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.” Matthew 5:42 KJ

I believe in Jesus Christ, and He is the reason for my hope.
